Each child is unique, so our events are planned with age, interests, capabilities, and attitude in mind. These are some events you can expect each year in the Children’s Ministry.
MOTHER/FATHER/DAUGHTER/SON EVENTS
Each year, we hold 4 of these events: a Mother/Daughter craft night, a Father/Son Campout, a Mother/Son active day, and a Father/Daughter Dance. Each of these is planned to equip parents to create faithful family time at other times of the year.
EGGSTRAVAGANZA, TRUNK OR TREAT, BREAKFAST WITH SANTA
We have three yearly events where we partner with Southern Hills’ Local Missions Team to throw a party for our neighborhood. Eggstravaganza happens on Easter Weekend, Trunk or Treat happens the Wednesday night before Halloween, and Breakfast with Santa occurs on a Saturday in early December.
FAMILY FUN NIGHTS
Southern Hills members of all ages are invited to Family Fun Nights each Wednesday during the Summer and once a month during the school year. These family-friendly events will provide times of connection and fun for our church. Each event will take place from 6:00–8:00 PM, and admission is always free! Examples of sites we have gone in the past: Abilene Zoo, Adventure Cove, Prime Time, Play Faire Park, Sabrina Cedars, and The Skatin’ Place.
